High resistance to dollar spot and fusarium

Bar Trio Bent contains the best varieties with excellent resistance to dollar spot and fusarium. Creeping bentgrasses are generally quite susceptible to diseases, so Barenbrug has focused on developing varieties that are less susceptible to infections. Dollar spot forms small circular spots on the turf, while fusarium damages the roots of the grass – they turn black and eventually die.

Extremely fast putting greens

The ability to cut Bar Trio Bent so low ensures extremely high ball speed and excellent playing quality.

Very dense putting greens

The combination of the best varieties in this 100% creeping bentgrass mixture ensures a very dense putting green surface. The use of different varieties creates synergy – meaning that the individual varieties in the mixture strengthen each other. Therefore, Bar Trio Bent creates a very dense turf with high aesthetic quality and excellent playing characteristics.

Lowest possible cut – up to 2.5 mm

Bar Trio Bent consists of 100% creeping bentgrass. It is composed of at least three different varieties that can be cut at the lowest possible height – up to 2.5 mm. Bar Trio Bent is recommended for sowing putting greens where the shortest grass ever is desired.

Creeping bentgrasses are known for their fast establishment. This characteristic has been further improved by using the best selected varieties. Fast establishment means a reduced risk of annual bluegrass spreading, and players can quickly enjoy an excellent putting green where balls roll very fast.
