The special tall fescue varieties in Water Saver® form a very deep root system, have a finer leaf texture, and offer greater drought resistance than traditional grasses of this species. Additionally, the perennial ryegrasses in the mixture ensure rapid lawn germination and have been specially selected for their drought resistance.

The balanced combination of Barenbrug's best tall fescue, perennial ryegrass, and Kentucky bluegrass varieties ensures unparalleled lawn endurance during heatwaves.

Thanks to its deep rooting, Water Saver® turf reaches water from deeper soil layers. The roots of common grass only reach a depth of 10-15 cm, causing them to die even before drought reaches extreme levels. Water Saver® tall fescues can root deeper than 60 cm, storing water and nutrients (sugars) in their roots – like a natural reservoir for dry periods.

By using Water Saver®, you can save up to 70% of the water used for irrigation.
